Australia loves Macy Gray, and Shepparton fans are about to get up close and personal with the 21st century icon and singer of chart-topping 1999 hit I Try.
Who could forget her raspy soulful voice belting out the words, “I try to say goodbye and I choke, I try to walk away and I stumble”?
The song flew to number one on Australian music charts in 1999, while the album from which it came, On How Life Is, also topped local charts and went triple platinum across the globe.
Gray has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, won a Grammy and two BRIT awards, and soon she’ll be on the stage at Riverlinks Eastbank as she works through shows on her The Trouble With the Truth Australian and New Zealand tour.
The singer-slash-actress has been celebrated by fans and critics far and wide as she has explored several genres and art forms throughout her decades-long career in show business.
