In recognition of Anzac Day, the groups collaborated to transform the laneway between the Rochester Hotel and the new Petit Vélo store off Moore St.
Locals crafted more than 1000 poppies for the initiative.

The project was funded by the Campaspe Shire Council Flood Recovery Program, with wool and patterns made available at Parsons Rochester.
More than 1000 poppies were knitted, crocheted, felted or otherwise crafted for the project.
They are now proudly strung with festoon lights, and, while largely red, also feature purple, white and black poppies.
The laneway looks particularly special at night thanks to festoon lights, powered by the Rochester Hotel. Photo: Supplied.
