The event, held at Cactus Country in Strathmerton on Thursday, May 16, involved about 18 club members who enjoyed a delicious meal of lasagne, and of course cake.
The club was founded in 1994 and the group has since grown.
Members meet on the third Thursday of each month at Cobram Showgrounds.
The group often takes members across the region to visit gardens and gardening organisations, as well as putting on flower demonstrations at community events, including the Albury Show.
Club president Keighley Howard said the best part of being involved in the group was the social interactions, stressing that anyone was invited to join.
“Meeting different people and visiting different organisations as well as sharing the different ideas of how to do things, it's fantastic,” he said.
“It's quite entertaining.”

The guest speaker at the birthday celebrations was Cactus Country owner Julie Hall, who spoke about the history of the tourist destination.
Ms Hall said gardening was such a popular activity for people because of the number of benefits it has.
“It's a great activity to keep people fit and healthy as they get older,” she said.
“And people just love watching things grow. And being out in the sunshine, it's a very healthy habit or hobby to have.”
The event also featured the presentation of a life membership award to Fred and Kath Gregory, who joined the group after moving to the area.
