Cobram detectives have allegedly seized drugs, weapons, cash and explosives in a town in northern Victoria.
A raid conducted at a residential address in McLean St in Yarrawonga on Thursday, April 11 allegedly uncovered commercial quantities of methylamphetamine, as well as traffickable quantities of cocaine, cannabis and heroin.
Police claim there were also various prescription medication, three tasers, a box of fireworks and more than $15,000 cash, which were also seized.
A 53-year-old Yarrawonga man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with traffic commercial quantity of methylamphetamine as well as drug possession, weapons and fireworks offences.
He has been remanded to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court on August 1.
Cobram detective Senior Constable Amy McColl said the seizures were a great win for the local community.
“Search warrants like these often come as a result of members of the public seeing something suspicious and reporting criminal activity,” she said.
“Our investigators are grateful to the community who are our eyes and ears on the ground keeping us informed on the safety of their neighbourhood.”
