If so, consider submitting a nomination for the 2027 Federation Council’s Australia Day Awards.
Nominations open on Monday, September 7 until November 9.
The Australia Day Awards program is a way to honour citizens and community groups who have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or given outstanding service to the community over a number of years.
Five awards will be conferred and can be in the areas social, environmental, business and/or arts and culture – Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Local Hero Award – Individual, Local Hero Award - Community Group, and Local Hero Award – Sports.
Nomination forms and detailed guidance to help complete forms are available from the Council website.
Award recipients will be announced at the official Australia Day Award Ceremony on January 26 in Urana.
