Moira FoodShare manager James Rouel and Cobram Community House manager Christine Osborne met for the handover of items donated to the house over the past month.
“Thank-you to everyone who donated,” Mrs Osborne said.
Mrs Osborne said there were always many kind people in the community willing to lend a hand to the house’s projects.
“We do a lot of things where we rely on the community, and we have a very generous community out there,” she said.
“It was Neighbourhood House Week this week, with the theme of ‘ripples of change’. And it’s those little things that people do that have a far-reaching effect out into the community.”
Bags of spiral pasta, cans of bolognese sauce and boxes of lasagna sheets were some of the non-perishable items collected in the appeal.
Pasta sauce and tinned soup are among dozens of items going to families in need.

Mr Rouel lauded the ongoing work between the two organisations, and said this latest collaboration was all about providing simple meals to those who need them.
“We really want to make sure we give people not just bits and pieces, but actually something they can make something out of,” he said.
“And we do find that a lot of people who are homeless haven’t been brought up how to cook and things like that ... Some people don’t have a stove; they’ve got a fire to heat it over.
“It’s really a great meal that’s very cheap for people to do.”
