Six debs and their partners took part in the Barooga Lions Club’s second debutante ball for this year.

Emma Deering and Daniel Hustwayte, Zarley Opray and Bryce McIntyre, Elsie Oliver and Drew Humphries, Madison Power and Joshua Scott, Crystal Adams and Robert Squires and Kim McKean and Taj Bartolic were accompanied by page boy Coby Humphries and flower girl, Gemma Janssens.
The couple danced cha cha cha, tangoetta, same, progressive evening three step, followed by a fun dance, a French melody, all taught by trainer Vicki Ackers, who was thrilled with the performances.
Due to refurbishments at Barooga Sports Club, the auditorium space was reduced, however 170 still attended the night on April 26.
Lions Regional District 4 Zone 6 chair Julie Bollard received the debutante party. Ms Bollard was filling in for Lion V6 1st vice president Omeni Ndovlu.
Zarley Opray, assisted by Bryce McIntyre, spoke on behalf of the debutante party.Ms Bollard, Ms Ackers and the Barooga Lions Club president also spoke.
Ball organisers thanked the club for its ongoing support and the Fallons Bus Lines for their contribution.
