Cobram police intensify fight against number plate theft

“Stolen plates can be used to commit more serious offences such as petrol drive-offs, driving offences, burglaries and even drug trafficking,” she said.

“One-way screws can be used to secure your number plates, making them harder to steal.”

Police are urging locals to visit the Cobram Coles car park on Wednesday, September 9, between 10am and noon to have their cars fitted with anti-theft screws, free of charge, with assistance from members of the Cobram Men’s Shed.
