Jamie Shields’ rink took control early and was never in trouble, winning 20 shots to 10. Similarly, Mark Quor led his charges to a commanding 27-10 result.

The final match was neck and neck for most of the game, with Shane Laing’s side drawing level at 18-all with two ends to play.

They conceded four shots thereafter however to go down by that margin.

Division 2 was at home to Moama, but struggled on all three rinks to eventually suffer a 51 shots to 73 defeat. Dave Hessel’s crew lost by a solitary shot, while Stuart Treble and Paul Snare could not prevent their teams losing by seven and 14 shots respectively.

Division 3 travelled to Rich River and managed to escape with a draw, 49 shots apiece.

Keith Hay’s side lost by four and Glenn Thomson’s by six, but Tom Todd’s combination did enough to win by ten shots and finish all square overall.
