Event coordinator Andrew Lavis said he was excited to announce that this year would be the biggest instalment yet.
“The event has received support from participants with increased nominations received in each of the four categories,” Mr Lavis said.
The action-filled day will commence at 9.30am with the Junior Class followed by Classes C and B.
The Open Class, featuring machines powered by engines of up to 450cc, follows those.
“These classes will provide action-packed racing which will not disappoint spectators,” Mr Lavis said.
The day will be well-catered-for with a range of quality foods at the barbecue, sandwiches, slices and cakes, as well as drinks at the bar with a coffee van on-site too.
Mr Lavis said there would also be a comprehensive display of model railway layouts inside the hall, which would be co-ordinated by Rod Farmer.
“They will delight model train enthusiasts of all ages.
“Owing to our location with intermittent Telstra/Optus reception, digital wallets may not be available, so bring some gold coins with you,” he said.
Moorngag Mower Mania is strongly supported by Benalla Rural City Council, and the sponsors for this year’s event are Elders Insurance Benalla, Sharpe’s Outdoor Equipment, Benalla Bus Lines and Benalla Bulk Fertilisers.
The Moorngag Hall and Reserve is approximately 22km from Benalla on Samaria Rd and will be well signposted on the day. Entry is by gold coin donation.
