A targeted traffic stop in Sydney's west has netted police $6 million worth of methylamphetamine, cash, knuckle dusters, capsicum spray and a knife.
The drug bust unfolded at Homebush on Monday afternoon when Strike Force Sapphire detectives were tracking two men in a car, with the help of the Tactical Operations Unit, the Raptor Squad and Highway Patrol officers.
Two men, aged 35 and 32, were arrested after police found about $295,000 in cash and four kilograms of meth and the weapons in the 32-year-old's car.
Detectives later searched an address at Newington and seized a mobile phone.
The men were taken to Auburn Police Station, where the older man was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
The younger man is facing the same charges, as well as having a knife in a public place and possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit.
Both were refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
Strike Force Sapphire was established to investigate the supply of large commercial quantities of prohibited drugs across NSW.
