But police late on Friday said there were still no persons of interest in their investigation, more than a week after Pheobe Bishop's "suspicious" disappearance.
Pheobe, 17, was last seen near Bundaberg airport in southern Queensland about 8.30am on May 15 after booking a trip to Western Australia.
She has not been seen or heard from since, with CCTV footage indicating she never entered the airport.
The Gin Gin property near Bundaberg where she lived with two other people had earlier been declared a crime scene, along with a vehicle thought to have been used to take Pheobe to the airport.
Police on Friday expanded their search about 40km south of Gin Gin, looking at the Good Night Scrub National Park.
"Police have had the assistance from the dive squad out there in relation to searching some waterways today," Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson told reporters.
He said homicide detectives had also been called in to help the investigation but police had not located any items of interest.
"There's no specific persons of interest. However, police are following up all avenues of inquiry," he said.
Police have been searching the wider Gin Gin and Bundaberg areas since Pheobe's disappearance.
The uncertainty over her whereabouts is taking its toll on her heartbroken mother Kylie Johnson.
"As another day starts, it's getting harder to breathe and the numbness that we feel at the not knowing is eating at us," Ms Johnson posted on Facebook on Friday.
"We would do anything just to hear your voice, to have you curl up in my lap and hold you tight with your wild crazy hair in my face annoying my nose.
"I have no words to describe what this is doing to our family, to our friends and to our community."
Ms Johnson has been pleading on social media for anyone with information to come forward since her daughter vanished.
"What we need right now from everyone is to hold your loved ones tight and tell them you love them," she posted on Friday.
Other friends have written on Pheobe's social media, praying that she is safe.
"We all hope you're okay Pheebs, come back," one friend wrote on TikTok.
Police have searched the Gin Gin property where Pheobe lived and seized a grey Hyundai ix35 Â thought to have been used to transport the teen to Bundaberg airport.
Police said they believed the vehicle belonged to a resident of the property.
The property's other residents have spoken to officers and are co-operating with police.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicle - Queensland registration 414EW3 - near the airport or in the Gin Gin area on May 15 has been urged to come forward.
Pheobe is about 180cm tall with a pale complexion, long hair that's dyed red, and hazel eyes.
She was last seen carrying luggage, wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants
