Ms White was stabbed in front of her 6-year-old granddaughter at Redbank Plains on Saturday.
Five boys, all aged between 15 and 16, have been charged over the incident.
A 16-year-old has been charged with murder.
Independent candidate in the upcoming Ipswich City Council election, Josh Addison, has led calls for a permanent police beat to be established in Redbank Plains in the wake of Ms White's death.
He is expected to address the media on Friday morning, with members of the Redbank Plains community who say there is a worsening youth crime crisis in the area.
Queensland African Communities Council president Beny Bol said there had been a rise in hostility toward the Australian-African community since the incident.
Ms White's daughter Cindy Micallef joined Mr Bol on Thursday, calling for racial abuse to stop.
"Mum's legacy will live on in peace," Ms Micallef said.
"She was never one to be prejudiced, she always looked for the best in people."
