In the six weeks it has been open, NCN Health chief executive Jacque Phillips commented on a steady stream of locals unhesitating to get checked.
“We have been averaging around 20 to 30 people a day and we are running it Monday to Friday,” she said.
“It is great to see so many people coming in to get tested after recognising even mild symptoms.”
It was reported about 250 people had lined up to get tested in the first few weeks of the clinic being in operation, with roughly 400 coming through for a swab since then.
Ms Phillips said bookings should be made for those showing symptoms of coronavirus, however mild, including: fever, chills, sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose.
“We are working hard to get results back as soon as possible, but sometimes it takes a little longer than expected,” she said.
“If you are unwell then you must stay at home until you get your results.”
Open Monday to Friday from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm on the corner of Broadway and Charles Sts, bookings can be made by calling 5871 0777 and selecting option six.
● Meanwhile, a mobile testing clinic will be available on Friday at the Tocumwal Multipurpose Service building from 8.30 am to 11 am on Friday.
Barooga residents will have access to a mobile clinic, located opposite 45 Vermont St, on August 12 from 9 am to 11 am.
