Border permits required for all school students on Baldwins buses

Baldwins Buses has enforced a ‘no permit, no entry’ policy for school students in Cobram and Barooga who use its service.

Following advice from NSW police, the company has asked students to present border permits upon boarding in the morning and afternoon, including NSW residents.

Buses pick up children from Barooga Public School then travel across the border to collect other students from the Cobram schools, meaning all students travelling on a Baldwins bus will require a permit.

“Police have advised us that every person’s permit is to be checked at the border,” Eliza Baldwin said.

“We have hand sanitiser available upon boarding, our cleaning requirements are still continuing into term three.”

It was noted delays may occur during afternoon services, dependent on wait times at the border checkpoint.
