Those attending helped themselves to a magnificent spread put on as a part of Seniors Week, laughing and reminiscing with good company over a cup of tea and some baked delights.
The Senior Citizens Choir was on entertainment duty after lunch, keeping onlookers jiving along to the spellbinding harmonies.
Also making an appearance was State Member for Ovens Tim McCurdy, who fully supported the initiative.
“It is a wonderful week, it is a great celebration for everything that seniors do and have done in the past, present, and going into the future,” he said,
“The lunch is just a recognition of everything they do in our community.”
The lunch was just one of 2500 free or low-cost events being run across the state in conjunction with the senior’s festival held across the month.
For those looking to attend in future, Cobram Community House offers lunch on the first Friday of every month for a gold coin donation.
