Meg is a local girl, who grew up on a farm, and knows the importance of tradition and hard work on the land and in a community.
She is tackling the job “head on” with the help of her hard-working committee and band of volunteers and sponsors.
There is a wide range of entertainment and activities this year, including Dinkum Dinosaurs, Colonial Clydesdales, Dachshund Racing and Noah’s Thoroughbred Racing Pigs.
Local school students will also get involved by creating artwork and making articles.
“We aim to take the show back to the more traditional way with farm animals and farm machinery, as well as promoting more modern farming ways and ideas in the area,” Meg said.
“We hope you come along and enjoy the show activities — Sideshow Alley, The Pavillion and special features. Show schedules are available around the Cobram, Barooga, Strathmerton and Katamatite local area.
“We wish to thank Stuart Eliott from Cobram Small Engines, his lovely family and fabulous staff, for holding a BBQ and a chance to sell raffle tickets for our major raffle donated by them this year.”
The garden tool package valued at over $2800 includes a STIHL Lawn Mower RMA 348, Leaf Blower Kit SGA 60, Line Trimmer Skin FSA 70R, Hedge Trimmer HSA50 1 plus battery and charger ― tickets are $5 each.
