Agriculture Victoria has organised workshops for farmers in the Numurkah, Tatura and Cohuna areas.
The workshops will cover water prices, water market principles and how to mange water risk.
Participants will gain skills in:
- interpreting seasonal water outlooks;
- evaluating entitlement versus allocation trade-offs;
- applying risk management tools;
- decision-making around water purchasing;
- strategic use of carryover; and
- aligning water strategy with farm system needs.
Workshops will be held at:
- Numurkah: Monday, September 22, from 10am to 2pm at Numurkah Community Learning Centre, 99 Melville St, Numurkah.
- Tatura: Tuesday, September 23, from 10am to 2pm at Agriculture Victoria Tatura SmartFarm, 255 Ferguson Rd, Tatura.
- Cohuna: Wednesday, September 24, from 10am to 2pm at Cohuna Bowls Club, Tennis Rd, Recreation Reserve, Cohuna.
