Beloved father to Ben and Tania, father-in-law to Jo and Alain, pop to Charlotte and Jack ----
You trod your own path, and with your darling Annie by your side, enjoyed the simple things of life; history, travel, walking, tinkering with MGs or any kind of steam-machine, and tending your magnificent garden (or anyone else's for that matter)!
So independent and strong these past years, bravely fighting multiple myeloma with a style and dignity all your own. Sharp and witty, until you closed your eyes for the last time, at home with Ben by your side. Selfless and much more caring and sentimental than you ever let on to most. You were eccentric and adorable in equal measure.
We all hope, with all our heart, that you and Annie are together again, and will always give thanks for the part of the path we trod together. We love and miss you.
