passed away 5 April 2026 It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our former colleague Bruce. Bruce served in the Australian Army from 1967 to 1991 and commenced working at RSL Victoria in 1997 as an Advocate. He retired in 2025 as its Senior Advocate and was highly regarded as one of a very few Level 4 ATDP Advocates in Victoria. Bruce helped thousands of veterans and their families over the past 27 ½ years. Bruce joined the Rosebud RSL in 1986, was elected to the Committee in 1987, elected President from 2013 until 2026, during which time he gave over 50,000 hours as a volunteer, particularly as the Welfare Officer for over 27 years. Bruce’s compassionate nature saw him make many friends across the Sub-Branch network and veteran community. Bruce’s devotion and exceptional service to veterans was recognised with RSL Life Membership with Gold Badge in 2023. The State President, State Executive and Bruce’s many friends at ANZAC House extend their deepest sympathy to Christine and his children on their very sad loss.
