A battle royale between old rivals Bailey White and Carlo Ditchon saw White reign supreme, stealing the Open Men’s Singles title 104 points to Ditchon’s 103 from a field of six players.
Likewise, the Open Ladies title went down to the wire when Madison Knight and Melissa Voeurn tied with 60 points apiece.
Knight took the title in a play off 15/12 in another tight affair.
Melvin Abhilash took home the A-grade boys trophy with Harry Thompson runner-up, while Rylan Speechley and Phoenix Valente, who were hot on their heels, made Abhilash and Thompson earn every point they scored.
It was a case of ‘sister act’ in the A-grade girls event between twin sisters Vanessa and Jessica Voeurn.
On this occasion, it was a delighted Vanessa who reigned supreme in a faultless display to score over her sister and take home the A-grade title.
These two young girls show exceptional talent and could certainly go a long way in the sport if provided the opportunity.
In the A-reserve boys competition, unbeaten Ben Dean took home the trophy. Dean has come a long way since taking up the sport two years ago.
Jordan Talbot slipped in as runner-up over Coen Pang after the pair fought out a thrilling encounter.
Both these young lads show a lot of potential in the sport and along with Ben Dean are a great asset to the club, always willing to help and take leadership roles.
New to the sport this season, Jayden Huang proved too strong to take home the B-grade boys singles trophy with Herbie Euston runner-up.
As expected, two up-and-coming young players, Melody Su and Angelina McKay, fought it out for honours in the B-grade girls event, with Su backing up her Draw for Partners win earlier in the year, victorious on this occasion in the singles.
The C-grade boys saw newcomers Mason Talbot and Lachlan Tatnall battle it out for honours, with Talbot taking home the trophy.
Both youngsters have shown great improvement since joining the club, with Tatnall joining halfway through the season.
Paige Holt has also shown great improvement in her first year, taking home the C-grade girls singles trophy.
