With a run, skip and a swing, the 2025 Australian Speedgolf Open brought an action-packed weekend of competition to Club Tocumwal recently.

A pool of 27 athletes from around Australia and the world took to the renowned Captain’s Course on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4.

There were displays of the highest athleticism and golfing prowess from competitors such as New Zealand’s Robin Smith, who went on to claim the Open Men’s Championship with a speedgolf score of 231.

The competition also fielded a handful of local athletes, including Cobram’s own talented James and Hunter McMaster, alongside Reuben and Jude Haley from Tocumwal.
