The Redeyes are coming off a spirited loss to an undefeated Katandra, who beat Katamatite in round two.
Katamatite has since bounced back with wins against Jerilderie and Waaia.
Blighty head coach Adrian Timmis said he is pleased with the team’s weekly improvement.
“The boys really played well (on Saturday), but the scoreboard didn’t reflect that,” he said.
“We were always in the game.
“I have to ground us and help see our improvement this year.
“We totally reversed how we played against Mathoura (in round three); I was really impressed.
“Players have really thought about it, and we have only played three games with no practice matches.”
In last week’s match Blighty had a special appearance from AFL social-media personality Tom Baulch, also known as ‘Prime Train’, who Timmis said was a good contributor.
“At the end of the day, he came and provided a good chop-out for us and will do a bit more if he comes back later in the year for a Blighty home game.”
Timmis said while Blighty is prepared for a fight, Katamatite is a bit of an unknown entity.
“You can’t get a gauge; you just don’t know how good they’ll be,” he said.
“At the moment, we’ll take each week as it comes.
“We’ll aim to do the same things we did against Katandra, delivering a clean football up the ground.
“We had our defensive game plan, making them kick backward at least six times, with some chances resulting in a goal.”
Members of the senior team are planning to continue working on the team’s game plan.
“On the field, we’re still working on matching ability for ability.
“Our players are enjoying their football, which we’ve been working on all year, and is great.”
