This year, the format changed to a two-day event, with scores from both days counting towards the final result.
Day 1 featured 4BBB, with Day 2 being Single Stableford.
Clubs represented included Beacon Hills, Commercial Albury, Cobram Barooga, Mansfield, Myrtleford, Numurkah, Kingston Heath, Rosanna, Thurgoona, Tocumwal, Deniliquin, Finley, Torquay and YMGCR.
On Thursday, 56 pairs contested the 4BBB event, with Mansfield 1 winning A Grade with 50 points, while Mansfield 2 were runners-up with 46 points on a countback from a Numurkah team, who took out third place.
B Grade was again won by a Mansfield team with 46 points on a countback from Commercial Albury, while Myrtleford finished third.
Friday saw Day 2 of the event, with Mansfield 1 going in with a handy lead for the Single Stableford event.
At the end of the day, Mansfield 1 just hung on to take out the Bowl over Commercial Albury by three points.
While the majority of players battled it out on the Lake course, 11 players from around the area played a game of Stroke in the Champion of Champions on the Murray course.
Clubs represented in this event were Cobram Barooga, Tocumwal, YMGCR, Finley, Deniliquin, Corowa, Mooroopna, Shepparton, Mansfield and Myrtleford.
After a great tussle, Rowena Wallace from Cobram Barooga won the Tassicker Trophy, presented by Kaye Forge, by one shot over local player Aileen Dwyer Buckley.
Aileen was crowned the winner of the Nett event, proudly supported by Karen Droop.
These events do not happen without a great deal of hard work and preparation.

YMGCR Mens’ Nine Holers
YMGCR Nine Holers enjoyed another good week of competition, even if Thursday’s field was a little depleted by the threat of rain.
A notable aspect of the week’s scoring was that the top nine on the winners list, across both courses and on both days, beat their handicaps.
On Tuesday, August 18, a field of 65 competed in a Stableford competition.
