The youth girls made the journey to Moama to face the top-tier Magpies.
Despite Barooga’s best efforts, the hosts piled on the pain early, booting eight majors by the main break.
By the time the final siren sounded, Barooga was without a point, losing 14.15 (99) to 0.0 — a scoreline that did not do justice to the visitors’ efforts.

Meanwhile, Barooga’s women’s outfit was unable to restrain a determined Echuca, which went on to claim a convincing win, 18.10 (118) to 0.0.
Next week, the youth girls host second-placed Echuca United at home, while the senior women host Tatura.
Sitting second-last on the league standings, the Barooga women face an almost insurmountable challenge to play finals this year.
However, it’s a different story for the youth girls, who are in the finals mix at fourth on the ladder.
