Hosting the Saints at Victoria Park, it was one-way traffic throughout the contest, with the visitors unable to conjure any magic to go close to the 2024 runner-up.
The Murray Bombers got off to a cracking start, piling on 18 goals in the first quarter, while Benalla managed to keep pace with seven goals.
The second period broke the game open with Echuca’s defence allowing three Saints goals, while the attacking trio of Rose Byrne, Belinda Lees and Kylie Walker worked harmoniously to add 19 to their score.
The Murray Bombers continued to add to their already substantial 25-goal lead in the third period, with Byrne and Lees looking unstoppable in the circle, finding the net 15 times between them.
Ashlea Hare and Madeline O’Nial limited the majority of attempts by the Saints to push forward in the fourth quarter, with the visitors settling for eight goals down the stretch.
Meanwhile, Lees’ leadership shone in attack, combining with her young shooter Byrne for 20 goals in the final frame to romp to a staggering 44-goal victory on home turf.
The 72-28 scalp proves that when the Murray Bombers are on, they look almost unstoppable with quality up and down the court.
Byrne went nuclear in the goal circle, pulling out an A-grade career high of 60 goals in the match, once again proving herself to be the shining light in an up-and-down season for Echuca.
Still within striking distance of finals, the Murray Bombers will face an undefeated Shepparton in round 16 in an attempt to scrape into the post-season.
