It looked like it was going to be a long day for the Murray Bombers in the first quarter at Princess Park when the Swans piled on 17 goals to start their day.
Echuca’s eight goals in reply was enough to keep it in the contest, despite work to be done before half-time.

With seven goals, the difference heading into the final frame, it appeared to still be anyone’s game.
Yet, the Murray Bombers remained composed, delivering a 14-goal effort to vanquish the Swans comfortably, who simply ran out of steam with 11 goals down the stretch.

The 10-goal victory was a massive turnaround from Echuca’s first quarter effort, spurred chiefly by the lethal attacking combination of Belinda Lees and Rose Byrne.
The final score was Echuca 57 to Shepparton Swans 47.
The Murray Bombers are currently on a roll, winning three games on the bounce, and will look to extend that rich vein of form at home against Mooroopna in round nine.
