The final score was 44-31.
While the Rams will stay in front of Moama on the ladder for now, it was a pivotal win for the Magpies who are caught in a battle for the last two finals spots with Tongala, Numurkah and Echuca United.
While it’s less likely for the Eagles to make the eight, it isn't out of the realm of possibility for any of the three teams from sneaking in with three crucial rounds remaining in the season.
Speaking of the two Blue teams, Moama will play both of them, along with Barooga in the remaining rounds with the finals picture almost guaranteed to shake out in those matches.
Up first, the Magpies will head to Tongala Recreation Reserve to face the surging Blues in what will be an illuminating contest for both sides.
