“(There was) a good turnout and everybody had a really good time,” Moama Echuca president Les Dicker said.
“It was pretty competitive with some of Bendigo’s better players making their way down and obviously Echuca as well provided some top-notch players, which made it quite a strong couple of matches.”

Dickers said players gravitated to touch football as an option to keep fit during the winter sports off-season.
“It’s a really good agility sport,” he said.
“Low impact, low chance of injuries and it keeps that agility fitness up.
“We have a few football players and netball players that play the sport in their off-season to keep some fitness up and keep that agility going.”
