It has also erected new tee and sponsor signs across the entire course.
The new-look course was ready to be showcased just days before the successful Royal Children’s Good Friday Appeal Charity Golf and Bowls Day, in which more than 200 golfers enjoyed the ambrose competition.
The club is now ready for full fields of golfers this weekend for the Jerilderie Women’s, Mixed and Men’s Annual Tournaments and the WRDGA 2025 Women’s Pennant Competition starting next Monday at Jerilderie.
In mid-June, the club anticipate more than 180 golfers will join together again for the annual MND Charity Golf Day, a fundraiser very close to the club’s heart.
The new tee signs have replaced the tired and outdated signs installed in the early 1960s. It brings course information up to date and includes all three white, blue and red courses together with the composite nine hole course for members and visitors to enjoy.
The golf club and committee have thanked the Golf NSW Foundation and Jerilderie Sports Club for their support and funding to this project, which not only updates the course information and course sponsors at each tee but enhances both the picturesque 18 hole course on the banks of the Billabong Creek and entrance to the Jerilderie township.
The club hopes the facelift will attract travellers, guests and community members to enjoy the course. It also thanks sponsors, volunteers and community members who offered their time and expertise to make this project possible, including the collaboration of updated tee information and sponsor designs, fabrication and installation of the signs.
