Cobram president Julie Cameron was one of the attendees and said it was a fantastic occasion.
“We had a great day. It was very relaxing and a bit of fun,” she said.
“The cricket turned out probably better for Cobram than Barooga, so that was good too.”
Cameron said it was important to be able to raise funds for breast cancer support and the McGrath Foundation.
“It is always important to raise funds for these sorts of foundations,” she said.
“Every little bit helps. It all goes towards breast cancer care nurses, which is very important.
“We have a few ladies in our club who have been touched by breast cancer, so it is good to give some support and raise some money.”
Fundraising: Tenieka Dale, Fiona Gough, Julie Cameron and Deb McDonald helped raise more than $1000 for the McGrath Foundation with the other guests at ladies day.

With more than twice as many people at this year’s ladies day event than in 2022, Cameron said she hoped the occasion could continue to grow.
“There were a few from outside the club which was also good, a few people brought some friends along, it was great.
“It was a fun day and it is starting to grow, which is good.
“We will definitely be pushing to do as good as or better next year.”
