Orly Cuttriss has upstaged his big brother on Goulburn Murray Cricket’s Under-12 stage with an all-round display that helped secure his team an eight-wicket win against Leitchville-Gunbower on Wednesday night at Windridge Oval.

The eldest Cuttriss brother, Judd, was hardly a shrinking violet as Rochester Blue scored 2-120 and bowled their opposition out for 37, but it was Orly who took the overall honours in the unofficial “battle of the brothers”.
Orly opened the batting after Rochester Blue won the toss and batted, ending the innings with a 21-delivery not out 13. He bowled only one over, but finished with two wickets in a maiden over.
Not to be outdone Judd Cuttriss took his season’s runs aggregate to 146 (at an average of 73) with his unbeaten 20. Archie Watson, who is yet to be dismissed this season, retired after scoring 18 (off 17 deliveries, including three boundaries).
Mac Dickinson’s not out 17 (off 13 balls) was another highlight in the 20-over innings.
Leitchville-Gunbower United was all out for 37 in reply, from 16.2 overs. Patrick O’Sullivan’s three-over spell, which included two maidens, returned figures of 2-5.
There are four rounds of the Under-12 competition remaining, including the highlight of the year when Rochester Blue Gold do battle at Rochester Secondary College on March 1 in the final round.

He struck a boundary and a pair of sixes in an unbeaten 26 (from 22 balls) and later took two wickets as his team was beaten by three wickets.
Rochester Golf’s 79-run total was hauled in comfortably by Red, which finished with 7-118.
Captain Hudson Boylan chose to bat after winning the toss, his team scoring 8-79 from 19.1 overs on the back of Harry and Asher Rasmussen, the latter scoring 14.
Fire Brigade Red was 2-11 before Jonty Sefton (not out 41 from 45 deliveries) turned the game on its ear, despite Harry Rasmussen taking 2-10 from two overs.
