Coach Khalia Harris said she was very pleased, and proud of her players.
“I think they played their best game of the season,” she said.
“I don’t think once out of the whole season, they’ve turned on each other — they played well as a team and were really supportive of each other.”

With Hotspurs tipped as the favourites going into the clash, Cobram managed to fend off wave after wave of Albury attacks at Lavington Sports Ground for the full 60 minutes.
And when their chance arose late in the first half, Cobram wasted no time, with skipper Pippa Thomas pouncing on a through ball before weaving through the Albury defence and handing her team a 1-0 advantage at half-time.
Despite multiple Albury attempts at goal in the nailbiting second half, the Cobram defence held strong to seal the deal and come away with the flag.
While it was a whole team effort, Harris reserved some of the praise for Thomas and team-mate Evie Hemingway, both of whom, she said, “set the standard” for the rest of the team when it mattered most.
“The improvement from the first game to the weekend was phenomenal,” Harris said.
“Every single girl has improved, and for me, that’s a really good reinforcement.”
