With their 73-point thrashing to the Eagles in round six front and centre in the minds of Kate Chapman’s maroon and gold army, Barooga managed to boot three majors by the half-time siren in wet conditions at home.
The mud and rain weren’t enough to dampen the Hawks’ spirits, with the home side’s Abbey Harwood celebrating a career milestone by booting her first major.

Further efforts from Taylor Waldron and Mel Cairns consolidated Barooga’s 21-point victory in the low-scoring contest.
Meanwhile, the wet weather continued in another low-scoring clash between Barooga and Tatura.
A goal from Claudia Leighton-Daly was enough to seal the deal as Barooga’s senior women ended their season on a high note with a 1.4 (10) to 0.2 (2) victory.
Finals kick off for the youth girls this weekend, with Barooga set to face down top-shelf Moama.
