The knockout round was held at Nathalia Recreation Reserve on Sunday, with four consecutive semi-finals held across the day.
When the dust settled, Echuca, in the women’s, and Moama, in the girls’, had made their way into the grand final, while Barooga and defending girls’ champion Echuca United missed on their opportunities to join them.

The Hawks looked primed to come out with a ticket to this year’s grand final, with a major from Charlotte Cherry early in the contest giving Barooga a boost in the first term.
But a dominant run allowed Moama to turn the tables by half-time, heading into the second half up by eight points.

Barooga tried in vain to convert its rare opportunities in front of goal, but the Magpies managed to keep the Hawks without a follow-up goal to the final siren.
With a 6.6 (42) to 1.2 (8) victory over the Hawks, minor premier Moama will now face off against Shepparton United, which defeated the Magpies by four points last time they met.
