Rochester and Shepparton United battled hard at Deakin Reserve on the weekend, in what was one of many exciting Goulburn Valley League junior netball matches in round four.

Getting away to a six-point lead at quarter time, Rochester clung on to the advantage for the rest of the match.

Poppy Palmer was a standout for the Tigers, while Alexandra Ingram and Ava Cottam also put in solid performances.

United’s Juliette Priestly, Ella Osborne and Sumer Gibson all performed well for the Dees, who are yet to pick up a win in 2022.

News photographer Rechelle Zammit was courtside on Saturday to capture plenty of action.
