Grand Central Cobram, comprised by captain Jason Pappin, Sean Williams, Paul Mittner, Brad Miller, Nick Martin, Steve Wittingslow, Cindy Bedford, Logan King and “City” Taylor, has booked its spot in the upcoming Yarrawonga Mulwala Eight Ball Association grand final.
Cobram skipper Pappin was confident in his team’s ability to take its first A-grade grand final flag.
“Last year, it was pretty close in the A-grade grand final as well,” he said.
“But this year, we’re doing a lot better and got new players, and hopefully, we get the job done.
“We’re there now, we’ve just got to finish it.”
At the end of last month, Pappin’s team defeated Yarrawonga’s Termo Green, 5-4, at the semi-final at the Tungamah Hotel.
On Wednesday, August 6, Yarrawonga’s two teams, Termo Green and Termo Black, will clash in the preliminary final decider.
Skipper Jason Pappin said he was proud of his team for making it to this year’s A-grade grand final.

The winner of that match will take on Cobram in the grand final, to be held at the Boosey Creek Tavern, Katamatite, on Wednesday, August 13.
Meanwhile, Pappin’s squad is busy honing its game plan.
“We’ve done pretty good this year,” Pappin said.
“It’s only the third year in, we took out B-grade this year and this year we can take out A-grade, hopefully.”
