The Globe Hotel has continued its dominance of men’s basketball, winning the 21/22 summer competition.

Globe started well enjoying a very early 10 point lead. Tune Squad settled and matched Globe for the remainder of the first half.
Globe pulled away in the final five minutes with Brayden Hall hitting multiple three pointers.
Globe throughly deserved the 18 point win, and were the best team all season.
Both captains thanked the umpires — Peter Howley and Richenda Everett — for doing a very professional job.
All the team captains were thanked for contributing to a great season during a difficult COVID period.
Brett MacDonald from Globe dominated all the awards, including the league best and fairest, grand final MVP and the leading scorer.

Tune Squad have won the premiership for the mixed indoor netball summer season, defeating Gallagher Fencing 27-25.
The game was another close and tense grand final, with Tune Squad lifting in the last two minutes to win by two goals.
Tune Squad dominated for the first half, and lead at every quarter.
At one stage in the third quarter, Tune Squad extended their lead to seven goals.
Gallagher Fencing finished strongly and did level the scores during the last quarter.
Both teams played the game in great spirit and thanked the umpire, Jess Holloway, for doing a sensational job.
Quarter by quarter scores: 9-5; 14-11; 22-18; 27-25.
Gabi Donald (Tune Squad) was named best on court.
Mick Everett (Tune Squad) won the best and fairest with nine votes. Runner up was Aiden Free (DCC) with eight, followed by Boddie Arthur (Tune Squad) on seven and Hayley Hall (Gallagher Fencing) on 5.
