Wednesday, March 1 is the opening day for the women’s 2023 season.
The club would like to invite anyone who is interested in playing golf to join in on this day or contact the Pro Shop or Trish Scandrett (0447 677 528) for any information regarding joining or becoming a member.
The day will begin with a shotgun start 8am for 8.30am for a social four-ball best-ball multiplier game, followed by lunch and some social time.
We look forward to having golfers and non-golfers alike join us for a fun start to the season.
Last Wednesday was stroke with nearly 40 players in the competition. Congratulations to Julie Daniel winning A-grade with 74 nett and Marg H Majernik taking out B-grade with a fantastic round of 69 nett.
O’Brien knockout final
Saturday saw the final knockout match between Bill McMasters and Ray Stringer and Greg Boyer and John Hodge.
Congratulations to the winners McMasters and Stringer who both played a steady and consistent game to take out the final. Well done to all players who made it into the knockout.

Sam Trembath won A-grade with 36 points on a countback from B J Millet on 36 points.
On the women’s side, Marg Majernik had a sizzling round coming in with 43 points. Congratulations Marg on a fantastic round and to all winners on the day.

The medley stableford on Sunday, February 12 was won by Jake Bush (10) 37 points.
Balls to 31 points.
Tuesday, February 14 veterans stroke A-grade winner was George McLaughlin (17) 74 nett countback. B-grade was won by Michael Burton (19) 66 nett, while Peter Steenbuck (27) won C-grade with 70 nett countback.
Balls to 77 nett.
Wednesday, February 15 women’s stroke A-grade winner was Julie Daniel (12) nett 74, B-grade was won by Marg Majernik (28) nett 69. Balls to 78 nett.
A men’s stableford was held on Thursday, February 16. A-grade was won by Ray Stringer (11) 38 points countback, B-grade winner was Neil Pettitt (17) 42 points, C-grade was won by Peter Steenbuck (27) 38 points. Balls to 33 points.
The women’s stableford was won by Carolyn Huggins (22) on 35 points. Balls to 32 points.
Saturday, February 18 was a men’s stableford. A-grade was won by Sam Trembath (8) 36 points countback.
B-grade winner was Leigh Congram (21) 38 points, while Graham Kerr (23) won C-grade with 40 points. Balls to 32 points.
The women’s stableford was won by Marg Majernik (43) on 41 points. Balls to 32 points.
