Benalla’s Hook in2 Hockey going strong in week two of season

Benalla’s newest hockey players had a great time for week two of the Hook in2 Hockey program.

Despite the heat, more than 40 kids learnt how to pass by pushing and trapping the ball during fun games, including Rob the Nest and Number Hockey.

With the occasional run under the sprinklers, the grade P-2s also learnt how to stop the ball like an ice-cream scoop during a game of Traffic Lights.

“Today was so much more fun than yesterday,” one of the smiling youngsters said.

Kids aged 5-12 are welcome to join in any Thursday from 4.15pm to 5.15pm, with the first three weeks free to “come and try”, with equipment available to borrow or purchase.

Adults are encouraged to come and try hockey on Thursday, March 14, from 6.45pm to 7.30pm.
