Thanks to all who attended and to those who assisted with the lunch. Barooga won the day but the Tatts group is keen to come back again next year to avenge its defeat.
This weekend, our RSL members are playing in the RSL Edinburgh Shield competition, which is played every year. Members are playing seven other clubs from around Victoria on Saturday and Sunday.
Results will be advised next week.
Monday, April 15, was the start of the ladies’ autumn aggregate tournament, where eight teams of four are playing over six weeks for a $1000 prize, with weekly prizes totalling $120.
Results for the first week will also be advised next week.
The club’s medley pairs also starts next Tuesday, April 16, so if you don’t have your name down yet, do so right away by contacting Quentin Pettit or Ken Newton.
With the influx of RSL bowlers wanting a bit of practice before the Edinburgh Shield competition, Keith’s Friday had visitors attending, which enhanced the field.
Winners of the day were B. Humphries and M. Symonds with plus 14.
Close behind were Fran Thatcher and Willie Nelson, who had plus 13.
Best first-game winners were W. Clone and Peter Russell with plus 11, best second game winners were R. Dowling and Jeff Nesbit.
The jackpot is again safe and is now getting into the $300 range.
