A working bee held last Wednesday, was well attended and the trimming of the gardens was done, along with some preparation for paint work. Thank you to those that attended.
With regard to the planned changes to pennant conditions discussed at the annual meeting, it appears some at least are not yet set in stone but will be discussed at the Murray Bowls’ annual meeting.
Secretary John Bruce spoke to Andrew Rushby of Murray Bowls to confirm this. Obviously the club will advise members when more is known.
Keith's Friday was well attended despite the club's Victorian members being unable to attend.
The morning started off cold, but when it came time to play, out came the sun, and bowlers all had an enjoyable game of social bowls.
Winners of the day again were Kevin Kennedy and Gerald Rothe with +17 and Jeff Nisbet and Bill Hoog were runners-up with 11.
Best first game winners were Archie Ellis and Jim Escott with 9 and best second game winners were Bob Thatcher and Alan Vinecombe with 8.
The jackpot of $75 did not go off and is $92 this week. A reminder to all bowlers, that if you cannot attend for any reason, please ring the club and, if necessary, leave a message.
The women will have a social day of bowling on a Monday for the foreseeable future, so if you would like a game on a Monday be there before 1.30 pm.
