Strathmerton d Rennie 57-41
It was definitely the first real cold and windy day Strathmerton netballers have faced this Picola and District Netball League season.
It did not seem to bother the girls and, with instructions simple, players were told to keep the ball low and drive strongly to the ball to keep possession in this weather.
It was an awesome four quarters of netball on display.
The defensive pressure and talk across the court was the side’s biggest winner, creating many turnovers, which the goalers were able to score from.
The side keeps building each as a team and even with a few girls, the juniors have been able to step up with ease and fill the gaps.
Awards: Kelley Laidlaw (Keep Active Osteopathy), Grace Thomson (Strathy Pub)
