Dairy Australia’s Raising the Roof conference brought 300 people from across Australia to Shepparton’s Riverlinks Eastbank venue for its third year.

From May 20 to 22, farmers and other stakeholders heard talks on everything from developments in managing effluent to the impact of heat on fertility.
Major sponsor Eagle Direct's Mike Ryan, Grant Mansell, Alan Houle, Ben Baker, Sam Mensch and Gordie Jones travelled from Orange to attend the three-day event.
Between talks attendees mingled and visited booths displaying cutting edge dairy technologies.

GEA's Anthony Ferguson and Jurgen Steen spoke to attendees about the benefits of their robotic milking system.
Richard Smith and Sarah Clack from Agriculture Victoria were on hand to provide information on drought resources and biosecurity.
Brian Cooper, Lachlan Barnes and Alan Steffensen represented Lely, a company that supports dairy farmers in over 50 countries.
The farmers were well taken care of with delicious cakes and cups of tea and coffee.
