Two of Yarrawonga’s major construction projects have progressed well and Moira Shire’s chair administrator Graeme Emonson said it was really encouraging to see progress here and across the shire.
“From one of our largest projects in recent years, the new Yarrawonga library, to resurfacing rural roads to make them safer, we are seeing a number of projects completed or taking significant steps forward in construction,” Dr Emonson said.
Yarrawonga Library
The superstructure of the library has now been completed, including all the roofing construction.
Works are now moving inside the building, with the layout to begin construction over the next few months.
Construction remains on track for completion by early 2026.
Five Ways roundabout
The roundabout located on the intersection of South Road, Gilmore Street, Woods Road, Cahills Road, and Old Wilby Road is now open to traffic.
All road surfaces, signage, lighting, and line marking have been completed.
