Nicholls has the third most election jobs in the state with 810 available, superseded by the Wannon and Mallee electorates with 873 and 929 jobs available respectively.
This makes up a small portion of the more than 24,400 temporary election jobs available across the state and more than 100,000 across the country.
AEC state manager for Victoria and Tasmania Nye Coffey said working at an election was a great way to earn money and contribute to the community.
“Temporary election work is paid and no election experience is required — we’ll give you all the training and support you need,” he said.
Mr Coffey said most jobs were on the actual election day, but others were for some weeks before and after the election.
There are also jobs dedicated to First Nations peoples.
“I encourage people to visit our website and register interest today, so we are able to appoint you quickly when the election is called,” Mr Coffey said.
“It’s an opportunity to get paid to have a front-row seat to see democracy in action.”’

The AEC will have COVID-19 measures at voting facilities, including all workers needing a COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption.
