Selected from more than 470 nominations nationwide and across 15 award categories, Warramunda Village has been shortlisted in the Project Team category and named a finalist in the Innovation Team category.
The Project Team nomination recognises the village’s delivery of its major internal redevelopment, which will increase residential capacity from 82 to 100 residents by mid-2027.
Warramunda Village chief executive John Clark said the recognition reflected the outstanding work of a team that had delivered a major building project without disrupting the care provided to residents.
“This nomination recognises our entire Warramunda family, not just the members of our Project Control Group or Community Care,” Mr Clark said.
Warramunda’s Support at Home Community Care service was also named a finalist in the Innovation Team category.
The recognition of Warramunda’s Support at Home Community Care service follows its successful rollout of The Lookout Way, a new digital care platform.
The nomination also celebrates Warramunda’s partnership with the Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields and Goulburn Murray Bowls regions through the Bowler of the Year competition — a way to connect older community members with aged care information they might not have otherwise come across.
“To be named a finalist in these national awards is an incredible achievement and everyone connected with Warramunda Community Care should be extremely proud,” Warramunda Community Care director Leah Konings said.
The award winners will be announced on Aged Care Employee Day on Friday, August 7.
