The happy winner held one of the seven division one-winning entries nationally in the Saturday Lotto draw 4663, drawn Saturday, March 28.
Each entry took home a division one prize of $2,857,142.86.
As the ticket wasn’t registered to The Lott Members Club, lottery officials had been unable to contact the elusive winner.
Instead, they had been eagerly waiting for the ticket holder to check their ticket and come forward.
However, how the winner plans to enjoy their life-changing windfall will forever remain a mystery, as they have chosen to remain anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Clarks News & Lotto at 8 Deniliquin St, Tocumwal.
Clarks News & Lotto owner Ross Clark said he was over the moon to sell his third ever division one-winning entry in the Saturday Lotto draw.
“My first thoughts were, ‘Wow, how exciting’ when I found about the winning news,” he said.
“Hopefully this win will spread a little hope and our customers will get excited.
“Congratulations to our winner, we hope this win brings you great joy.”
The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said that while we may not know how the winner planned to enjoy their prize, there was no doubt it had put a smile on their face.
“If you see someone wandering around Tocumwal with a beaming smile on their face, they just might be our latest division one winner,” she said.
The winning numbers in the Saturday Lotto draw 4663 were 30, 25, 2, 1, 3 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 15.
Across Australia, there were seven division one-winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4663, three each in NSW and Victoria, and one in South Australia.
