The 2026 Rivcott Finley Rodeo will be held on Easter Sunday, April 5, at the Finley Showgrounds and Sporting Complex, drawing competitors and spectators from across the state.
Hosted by the Finley Apex Club, the event forms part of the Australian Professional Rodeo Association’s official circuit, placing the town on the national rodeo map alongside other major holiday fixtures such as the Deni Rodeo.
Local businesses are already preparing for the increased foot traffic, with accommodation providers, cafés and service stations expected to benefit from the steady flow of holidaymakers and rodeo fans spending the Easter weekend in and around Finley.
Once the gates open at 5pm, the showgrounds will transform into a hub of activity, with competition getting under way at 6pm as riders take on a full program of classic rodeo disciplines.
Events include bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing and team roping, with stock supplied by McPhee Rodeo Co, a name well known on the national circuit.
The family-friendly focus of the event also remains a strong draw card.
Food vendors will operate throughout the evening, giving families the opportunity to enjoy an affordable night out.
Entry is free for children under 10, with tickets available online at $40 for adults, $25 for pensioners and $15 for youth 10 to 17 years.
Accessibility has also been a priority this year, with free bus transport thanks to Dysons available from Tocumwal to make the event easier to attend for those without private transport.
Combining tradition, sport and community engagement, the Easter Sunday fixture remains a highlight on Finley’s annual calendar.
Tickets can be purchased online ahead of the event at https://www.ticketebo.com.au/finley-apex-club/2026-rivcott-finley-prorodeo with slightly higher prices applying at the gate.
