Three new projects for Berrigan Shire

Berrigan Shire Council has announced that three key projects have been funded under the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.

The three projects are:

• Removing the overhead powerlines and placing them underground in Chanter St, Berrigan.

• Replacement of the Barooga cricket practice facility.

• Installation of solar-powered lighting for shared pathway on Golf Course Rd, Barooga.

Berrigan Mayor Matthew Hannan has called the funding a win for the community and thanked the NSW Government for its support.

“We are very excited to start on delivery,” he said.

“Each project will make our community a better place.

“Our aim is to have all three projects complete by 2024.”
